Brittany Morales

Development Strategist
ISG

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Management from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Brittany Morales pursued her passion for agriculture and rural development—a passion rooted in her upbringing on a family farm near Rockwell City, Iowa. As Development Strategist at ISG, and an economic development practitioner, Brittany is committed to enhancing rural vitality and making rural communities sustainable and attractive places to live and work.

In previous roles, Brittany has made significant contributions to rural economic development across Iowa. As Vice President of Community Initiatives at Iowa Area Development Group, she secured over $32 million in funding for projects that became key economic drivers in rural areas. These projects included the establishment and expansion of implement dealerships, meat processing facilities, agricultural supply manufacturers, local lockers, industrial parks, speculative buildings, healthcare facilities, and rural daycare centers. More recently, as Vice President of Business Development at Iowa Communications Alliance, she secured $21 million in grant funding for rural fiber broadband deployment, which enhanced connectivity and allowed farmers and agricultural producers to leverage modern technologies for increased efficiency.

Brittany resides in Altoona, Iowa, and operates out of ISG’s Des Moines office. She is actively involved in rural-focused organizations, serving on the Iowa Rural Development Council Board and the Keep Iowa Beautiful Board, and recently completed a four-year appointed term on the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Connect Task Force.
