Brenda Dryer is the Senior Vice President for the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. In addition to her management and economic development responsibilities she leads the organization’s efforts in the area of Workforce Solutions.
Brenda has more than 23 years of experience in the field of economic development. Prior to coming to Ames Brenda lead the economic development efforts in Mitchell County, Buchanan County, and as the first director of the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor.
Brenda serves as the Vice Chairperson for the Story County Housing Trust Fund, on the Board of Directors for the Arc of Story County, and as a member of the HN Chapter of PEO. She is active in the alumnae chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha in Des Moines and has served in numerous leadership roles for the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League across the State of Iowa. Her favorite pastimes include time with family at Clear Lake and cheering on the Cyclones! Brenda holds a degree in Communications and Adult Education from Iowa State University. She is married to Scott, who works for the Department of Education and they have three children; Michael, Katie, and Matthew.
